Which perfume is good for autumn? (fall scents)
Which perfume should we wear in autumn? I mean, we all know that fresh notes are better for summer and sweet ones smell better in cold weather and by cold I mean winter. But which one is the best for autumn where we can’t smell flowers around us and there is not as much sun as summer to effect the smell, yet it is not too cold to require a strong sweet scent to show off? This is what I am going to talk about today, because it actually seems very hard to find a good signature for fall.
How to choose a signature perfume
Fall is a lovely season for me and when thinking about it, certain images come to my mind. There is an image of a glass of red wine and a fired chimney. A nice not too warm blanket around my shoulders and maybe a drag of a tasteful cigarette and of course coffee and mandarin . So, considering these images. I am going to try to find a signature for autumn. I think this is the best way to choose perfume for any season or any occasion!
Which fragrance notes are better for autumn?
Remember the images I mentioned? Let’s dig notes out of them! And this is not just my taste! If you surf the net or even ask others about it, I am literally sure that you will find the same answer.
So, the wine and the chimney and of course the cigarettes can be good starting points. These three make me come to woody notes and other ones like tobacco and rum. Or maybe some fruits like citrus. Between fruits, mandarine is specially made for and in fall! So why shouldn’t we try using fragrances with that note? Also, don’t forget that we are talking about pumpkin season! This means we can try finding this note too!

Perfumes for autumn
Did you know that Chanel No. 5 was Meriline Monroe’s favorite perfume to wear for bedtime? I guess it had nothing to do with our topic but it was just an interesting fact I liked to share! I know it is not summer or spring. Yet I still like to be reminded of red cherries, but not too strong. The strong one would be Tom Ford electric cherry which is great for summer but it might be too intense for fall. So I tried parfums de Marly Oriana and I liked it. It has a light smell of red cherries and marshmallows added to it plus a little bit of powdered sugar which is not too sweet. I think this one may not be suitable for a blind buy. But if you got the chance to try de Marly Oriana before shopping, don’t lose it.
